Viewing Previous Month's Log Files
To view log files from previous months, follow the steps below.

1. Access your log file. (Ex. www.your_domain_name.com/log/)
2. Type in your user name and password
3. In the address line, after the /log/ type the year (1999) followed by a hyphen then the month (July = 07) followed by the extension .html

Ex. To view the log file for the month of August in 1999 you would type in www.your_domain_name.com/log/1999-08.html

Saving Your Log File
Log files are rotated on a monthly basis. NT clients are cummulative. There are two ways you can save your statistics. You can save them by downloading them through your FTP program, or saving the file out through the browser.

Saving through the browser

1. View the log file you want to save.
   
2. In your browser click on File; Save As;
3. name the file current_month_and_ year.htm (ex. july99.htm).
4. The File type should be "HTML Only."
5. Choose the location on your hard drive to save your file.
6. Click Save

FTP

1. Connect to your host address through your FTP program.
   
2. Open the log folder that is in the www folder.
   
3. Click on the month file. Ex. File: 1999-07.html (This is the 7th month of 1999 web statisitics for your website.)
   
4. Click on File; Download to;
5. Then select the location to save the file on your hard drive;
6. Click Save.
7. Use your default browser to view the file.
